PRIVACY STATEMENT

Introduction

The Corporate Administration Agency (CAA) is committed to protecting user privacy. We understand and appreciate that visitors and users of this web site are concerned about their privacy and the confidentiality and security of any information that may be provided to us.

The Queensland Government has established a privacy regime for the Queensland Public Sector based on 11 Information Privacy Principles, which regulate, among other things, the collection, storage, accuracy, use and disclosure of personal information. The 11 Information Privacy Principles are contained in an Information Standard that agencies are required to adhere to. Unless you specifically tell us, the CAA website will never know who you are. This is a cookie-free site. When you visit this web site our Internet Service Provider's standard web logs record anonymous information for statistical purposes only, including:

This is a Queensland Government website. Email correspondence sent to this site will be treated in accordance with the Libraries and Archives Act 1988 and other relevant regulations.

Your name and address details will not be added to a mailing list unless you request it, nor will these details be disclosed to third parties without your consent, unless required by law. However, our website support staff may monitor email messages for system trouble shooting and maintenance purposes.

Access to and amendment of personal information held by the Department

You can ask whether we are keeping personal information about you by writing to the department's Privacy Contact Officer c/- PO Box 3159, South Brisbane Qld 4101. If we do have information on file you can ask to access a copy of it. You may also wish to apply to amend the information if you believe it to be incomplete, inaccurate, irrelevant, out of date or misleading. The application to amend the personal information must be in writing. There is no charge for an individual to seek access to or apply to amend their personal information. However, your right of access to and amendment of personal information is subject to exceptions provided in the Freedom of Information Act 1992 or any other State Law.

Please note that before providing you with any of your personal information we will ask you to provide evidence of your identity.
