Strategic Asset Management Services

We can provide expertise and professional input to the development of strategic asset management plans, high-level asset condition assessments and capital investment strategic plans. We ensure that these exercises reflect industry best practice as well as meet the requirements of government. We can also assist in the preparation and development of indicative cost estimates and budgets to better inform these strategic planning frameworks.

Asset Maintenance Services

As well as asset planning we are responsible for the development and delivery of asset maintenance programs across the AQ portfolio. This includes scheduling building and equipment maintenance, routine and non-routine maintenance as well as emergent requirements. Ongoing equipment life cycle replacement and specific compliance projects are a major component of the planned asset maintenance. We are responsible for the commissioning of such work, preparation of design briefs and sketch plans, as well as formal quotation/tender documentation to ensure that these matters are handled in an open and transparent manner and conform with the requirements of the State Purchasing Policy.

The Security Central Control Room is a dedicated secure 24 hour a day control centre and has the facilities to conduct alarm monitoring services and direct alarm response to any location at any time. We can offer external clients these services at competitive rates.

CAA Emergency Services Officers are on hand to provide first line response to all fire, environmental and accident emergencies within the Queensland Cultural Centre. Fire evacuation training is also available to all agencies.

Maintaining the Queensland Cultural Centre

The Queensland Cultural Centre

The Centre is a unique Brisbane landmark of international standard, providing a fully integrated location for some of the State’s most prestigious arts and cultural institutions. Situated on the south bank of the Brisbane River, across from the central business district of Brisbane, the Centre houses the Queensland Museum, the Queensland Art Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art, the Queensland Performing Arts Centre and the State Library of Queensland.

The Centre has buildings valued at over $815 million and houses collections valued in excess of $610 million.

The Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts

A former showroom and warehouse in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, has been redeveloped into a cutting edge centre of contemporary Arts. The centre incorporates a 200-seat performance space, four galleries, artist studios for visiting artists, a screening room, purpose built administration and storage facilities, workshops and theatre, music, dance and circus rehearsal spaces.

Seven leading contemporary arts organisations are housed within this first class centre, significantly alleviating a longstanding accommodation crisis for the arts and cultural sectors in Brisbane.

381 Brunswick

381 Brunswick Street has been developed by Arts Queensland as a part of its Accommodating Creativity Strategy to provide tenancy space for the activities of smaller arts bodies and office accommodation for the Public Art Agency.

The design of this building is a result of on-going strategic investment by AQ in arts and cultural development and recognises the unique contribution that the arts make to the cultural life of Queensland.
